Course Content
This 1-day course examines the dangers faced by professionals whose job responsibility includes but is not limited to interviewing clients and assessing medical, psychological, emotional and social information. Child Protection, Behavioral Health, Healthcare, and other Social Service workers will benefit from this course as it provides detailed insight into the potential for violence, both in the field and the office. This course uses specific case studies and videos to help you examine the criminal thought process and will teach you to successfully detect pre-attack indicators, read body language and link your mindset to your performance. Those attending will also be exposed to the benefits of self-care practices, to include wellness, stress relief, basic life-saving strategies to combat Burnout, Traumatic Stress and serious bodily injury.
