John Deluca is currently a Sergeant with the St. Petersburg Police Department assigned to the Investigative Division.  He began his career in 2003 and has extensive experience specifically relating to undercover surveillance, street level narcotics, violent crimes/offenders and SWAT operations. 

He has been assigned to the department's Undercover Special Investigations Unit, Street Crimes Unit and the Pinellas County Violent Crimes Task Force. John has been a member of the department's SWAT team since 2006, where he currently serves as the Assistant SWAT Team Commander.  In addition to his SWAT responsibilities he is responsible for the operation of the surveillance electronics, robotics and small unmanned aircraft systems.  He coordinates and performs training in this area, as well as the agency's SWAT tactical training.  He is a certified Instructor with experience in surveillance, undercover operations and tactics.
